The Insight Exchange Launch – Our first media release
It’s a very proud day here at The Insight Exchange – our first day. Today we’re working very hard to get the word out about our innovative new events company, including using the more traditional form of the good old media release. Here’s what we sent out just moments ago…
Innovators transform the events industry
Top networking duo team up to create the future of events
The Australian events industry – recently threatened by the global financial crisis – will be transformed when two of the most respected event producers and networkers team up to change the face of executive conferences.
Chairman of Future Exploration Network Ross Dawson and former ad:tech Content Director Beth Etling today announce the formation of their new company The Insight Exchange.
Etling will head up The Insight Exchange as CEO while Dawson will oversee the launch of the company and act as Chairman.
Business conferences – especially those for senior level executives – are feeling the pinch in the current financial market as demands on executive time are increasing. A recent news.com.au article Networking Trend: The ‘Unconference’ suggested the traditional model may be “a thing of the past” as the demand for more streamlined education and more targeted networking increases.
Far from envisaging the death of corporate conferences and events, The Insight Exchange sees the current climate as an opportunity to reinvent the way we interact and learn.
“The events industry is ripe for massive change,” says Dawson. “The old conference model is rapidly dying, making way for new models of learning, interacting and creating value. Now is the best possible time to launch a company that will transform the events industry.”
“Today executives want insightful information faster from people they respect and trust,” says Etling. ”The Insight Exchange will focus on creating communities for executives to share and gain insights with their like-minded senior peers. Our aim is to re-energise the event industry in Australia and internationally, and help generate valuable business relationships for our clients, participants, and partners.”
Both Dawson and Etling have deep expertise in creating relevant experiences and content for executives. Dawson’s company Future Exploration Network has organised high profile events including the globally recognised Future of Media Summit, and provided thought leadership for the emerging business concept of Enterprise 2.0. Etling has organised the massively successful ad:tech Sydney for the past three years which attracts around 1500 delegates annually.
The Insight Exchange’s first major project will be the Future of Influence Summit in September, which will provide detailed insights into the role of influence in marketing, media, and the global economy. The one day event will feature a global audience and world-leading speakers. The event has evolved out of the Future of Media Summit (which has been held simultaneously in San Francisco and Sydney for the past three years).
The Insight Exchange will run a busy event program over the coming year, commencing by launching its lunch series with the Power of Influence on 19 May in Sydney.

Leading events firm The Insight Exchange enables streamlined education and highly targeted networking. It helps senior executives to learn about critical business issues through content driven discussions, generating valuable insights and clear strategies to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
